Senior Mens Management Team Announcement

2022/23

It gives me great pleasure to be able to announce the Devon RFU senior mens coaching and management team for the 2023 season.

The coaching team will be headed by Joel Caddy. Joel brings a lot of experience coaching representative sides, knowing how to get teams to buy in and play for the shirt in a short time frame. It’s going to be very exciting to see his style of rugby adopted by our senior men’s side, he’s had lots of success at U18s boy as well as at Tavistock who are currently sitting on top of the tree in their league.

Supporting Joel, Justin ‘meathead’ Rogers will be covering the forwards. Justin has been involved with the 18s boys this season and brings his coaching skills along with the knowledge of the younger players to the team.

The final piece of the team is Nathan Gosling. Nathan has been the head coach of the county 20s team for the last few seasons now coaching Brixham who is having a very good season so far. All 3 coaches have a great understanding of what county rugby is all about, and knowing the lads is going to be a super strength of this coaching group we have put together.

The coaching team will be ably supported by Team Manager Sean ‘cookie’ Cook. He’s been at front of the operations of Devon for the past few seasons and proved to be a valuable member of the off-field support team.

Sam Reid from Get Set therapy will continue with his county-wide medical support. Sam and his Get Set team have covered every county team for the past 2 seasons providing a professional and outstanding medical provision for Devon.

The final addition to the team is someone who needs no introduction. Graham ‘Sagey’ Sage will continue his role as chief logistics and kit management role. Some could say he is the glue that keeps the playing and management groups together.

We would welcome as much support this season as we welcome back our senior mens team having previously taken a year out. There will be be information coming out over the next few weeks on how you could sponsor a shirt or coach for the up and coming season.

Player nominations (Level 5 and below) can be sent in to devonreprugby@gmail.com now as we are making a list of players.

Looking forward to welcoming back senior men’s rugby for Devon.

Glenn Channing

Chairman of Devon Representative Rugby.
