Devon RFU visit The Deaf Academy

Last Friday Devon RFU had the honour of attending the Deaf Academy based in Exmouth.

During the visit we took the opportunity to talk to students and answer some, at times tricky, questions on rugby in general and the County Deaf rugby side in particular. It was also time to thank the Deaf Academy for their support in making this team happen.

Whilst undoubtedly the highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of the new Deaf County shirt, which the students took great delight in trying on to release their inner rugby players.

The team are looking forward to their first game on the 5th October against Exmouth Nomads at Exmouth RFC 1400.

Sure to be a proud moment for Devon RFU, The Deaf Academy and hopefully the whole deaf community.
