Crediton RFC Walking Rugby Festival and Devon Walking Rugby Cup Saturday 19th August 2023

Crediton RFC plans to run two competitions on the day in parallel. 1) The Devon Cup for Devon RFU
affiliated clubs and 2) The Fun Cup, for both Devon clubs and clubs visiting the county. The fun cup also
serves and a non-competitive tournament for clubs with older players and those new to Walking Rugby.

Guidelines for Devon Walking Rugby Cup
Squads are to be of mixed gender with a maximum of 10 players with an average age at least 55 years and a
minimum age of 40. At least two players of each gender should be on the pitch during the games.

Game time will be 7mins each way, played over two halves with a 1 min break between. Note this may be
adjusted depending on the number of teams attending. Playing schedule to follow once entries are received.

Laws will be based on the SW region group, format as developed in 2021/22 with no scrums.

Fun Cup Guidelines.
The format will be as above but with a more open age range min age of 18+. Teams will be encouraged to field
mixed gender teams. Games will be judged by the referees on the basis of fair and sporting play, tries scored
will not count towards the award of the Fun Cup.

On the day
Games will commence at 12.00 pm with registration from 10:30am and are expected to conclude around 5pm

A choice of food is included in the entry fee for players and is available to spectators. A full bar will be open for
the day.

Parking at the club and in the field opposite the club in Exhibition Road. Parking Marshalls will greet you.
Trains depart from Exeter St David’s 10:19 – Arriving in Crediton 10:29: and 10:37 – 10:50; 11:19 – 11:29 if you
plan to travel by train let us know. Note it is a 15-20 min walk from the station to the club.

Referees will be provided by Crediton RFC.
Cost to enter for each format : including food £8 per player – payment by BACs see below.
