Volunteer Opportunity: Age-Grade Competition Coordinators (U14–Colts)
Help Shape the Future of Age-Grade Rugby in Devon
Devon RFU is looking for enthusiastic and organised volunteers to become Age-Grade Competition Coordinators for our U14 to Colts competitions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering positive rugby experiences for hundreds of young players across Devon while helping clubs provide enjoyable, well-organised and competitive rugby opportunities.
Working alongside the Devon RFU Director of Age-Grade Rugby, Competition Coordinators oversee a specific age group competition, acting as the main point of contact for participating clubs throughout the season.
What You'll Do
As a Competition Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate and administer competitions within a designated age group
- Support clubs throughout the season
- Publish and manage fixtures, results and league tables
- Ensure competitions operate fairly and in line with Devon RFU and RFU regulations
- Respond to club queries and help resolve issues
- Support positive communication between participating clubs
- Contribute to the ongoing development of age-grade rugby in Devon
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a rugby expert, but we are looking for people who are:
- Organised and reliable
- Good communicators
- Fair and objective decision-makers
- Comfortable using email and basic spreadsheets
- Passionate about supporting young people in rugby
- Able to work collaboratively with clubs and volunteers
- Experience in age-grade rugby, club administration or competition management would be beneficial but is not essential
