Director of Age Grade Rugby for Devon RFU

Devon RFU is looking for a forward-thinking, committed volunteer to take on the strategic role of Director of Age Grade Rugby. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of junior rugby in Devon and continue the culture of progressive, accessible rugby for all our junior players.
As Director of Age-Grade Rugby, you will provide strategic leadership across all aspects of youth rugby in Devon. You will collaborate with club volunteers, schools, colleges, and fellow Directors to ensure rugby is delivered in line with RFU standards, safeguarding principles, and Devon RFU’s strategic goals.
brief role description
- Develop and oversee the CBs age-grade rugby strategy in line with RFU and CB priorities
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between clubs, schools/colleges, and the RFU regarding age-grade rugby developments
- Ensure that all age-grade rugby activities adhere to RFU regulations, safeguarding protocols, and best practices (e.g., Age-Grade Playing Calendar, Codes of Practice)
- Support disciplinary processes where age-grade incidents occur, liaising with the CB Discipline Secretary when necessary
