DRFU Welcome Keish as our new Director of the Female Game!
Keisha-Ann Down brings a truly global perspective to her role as Director of the Female Game at Devon RFU, underpinned by deep experience in rugby leadership, development, and coaching at both grassroots and international levels.
She previously served as Vice-Chairman of the Jamaica Rugby Football Union and was a recipient of the prestigious World Rugby Women’s Executive Leadership Scholarship in 2020.
Keisha-Ann’s professional rugby experience includes her time as World Rugby’s Women in Rugby Programme Manager, increasing participation and visibility supporting women in leadership worldwide. She also serves as a mentor for World Rugby’s Impact Champions and sits on the RFU’s Inclusive Leadership Delivery Group as Vice Chair.
In Devon, her focus is on growing and sustaining female participation at all levels – from minis to senior women’s teams – and creating a connected, supported pathway for players, coaches, and volunteers. Keisha-Ann is passionate about ensuring every girl and woman in rugby feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive within the sport.
As a professionally accredited Master Coach and qualified trainer, she brings a unique combination of strategic insight, hands-on delivery, and lived experience to help clubs, schools, and county-wide initiatives build inclusive, future-ready rugby environments.
