Devon’s Julian White Takes On Lewis Moody XV Cycle Challenge
Devon rugby supporters are being encouraged to get behind one of our own as former England international and proud Devonian Julian White takes on the remarkable Lewis Moody XV Cycle Challenge in support of the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Julian is among a select group of former players and rugby personalities joining former England captain Lewis Moody on an epic 500-mile cycle ride from Newcastle to Twickenham. The challenge aims to raise vital funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, supporting research into MND and helping those affected by the disease.
The challenge holds particular significance following Lewis Moody's own diagnosis with MND. Despite living with the condition, Lewis has committed to completing the seven-day ride to raise awareness and funding for research, continuing the incredible legacy of Doddie Weir and others who have championed the cause.
Julian, who proudly represented Devon before enjoying a distinguished professional and international career, is no stranger to hard work and commitment. Now, he is putting those qualities to use once again, helping to make a difference for those living with MND and their families.
The Lewis Moody XV Cycle Challenge began in Newcastle on 14 June and will conclude at Twickenham ahead of the Gallagher Premiership Final, with riders covering approximately 500 miles over seven days.
Devon RFU is proud to support Julian's efforts and wishes him every success as he takes on this incredible challenge.
