Devon Men: The Push For Twickenham

The Devon Senior Men's rugby team is on the verge of making a spectacular return to Twickenham, with just one game left.

Following a stellar, undefeated run this season, Devon is set to host a high-stakes semi-final clash this coming weekend and they need your support to roar them across the finish line.

Here is how the journey has unfolded so far this year:

1. The Tamar Cup: A Golden Start

Devon kicked off their campaign on Easter Saturday with the historic Tamar Cup at Plymouth Albion. Facing off against fierce rivals Cornwall, the boys put on a thrilling display of grit and skill, coming away with a hard-fought 26-20 victory to set a winning tone for the season.

2. Bill Beaumont Championship: The Group Stage

With momentum on their side, Devon turned their focus to the Bill Beaumont County Championship.

  • Round 1 vs. Buckinghamshire (Away): Originally scheduled for May 9th, the fixture was cut short just three days before kickoff when Buckinghamshire unfortunately had to withdraw due to an inability to field a front row. As a result, Devon was awarded a 5-point away walkover.

  • Round 2 vs. Somerset (Home): On May 16th, the action returned to the pitch at Brixham RFC's Astley Park. In front of a fantastic home crowd, Devon put on a masterclass in attacking rugby to overcome a tough Somerset side, securing a stellar 43-33 win and booking their place in the knockout stages.

The Ultimate Rematch: Semi-Final Confirmed

Following the conclusion of last weekend's fixtures across the country, Devon's semi-final opponents have officially been locked in. It is a blockbuster rematch against North Midlands, the very team that narrowly defeated Devon in last year's County Championship final at Twickenham.

This weekend, the stage is set for the ultimate redemption story.

Winner takes all. The victor books a coveted ticket to the National Final at Twickenham on the weekend of June 6th/7th 2026.
