Devon Appoint a New Director of Age-Grade Rugby
Jackie started her rugby career as a Rugby Mum to Dan, when he started at Torquay Athletic RFU in the U9s.
She accidentally became the Age Grade Chair at Torquay, when she went along to a meeting, thinking that she was going to be baking cakes for a fundraiser!
After 5 years as Age Grade Chair, members at the club asked her to step into the Club Chair role and her first job was to negotiate their way through Covid!
After 5 successful years as Chair, she moved on to set up the Women and Girls section, during the year of the Women's World Cup.
As a teacher of children with Special Educational needs, she has always championed the youth of her club.
