Under 18 Hardship Fund

At Devon RFU we believe that every young person who wants to play rugby should be able to do so, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Our Under 18 Hardship Fund exists to support players and families who may need help covering some of the costs associated with playing rugby. Whether challenges are short-term or ongoing, the fund is there to ensure that no young player misses out on the opportunity to be part of the game.

What the Hardship Fund Can Help With

The fund may be used to support costs such as Club membership subscriptions or playing kit such as boots of essential equipment.

We will contribute up to £75 if an application is supported by a Devon Club and subject to funds being available.

Each application is considered individually, with sensitivity and discretion.

Who Can Apply?

  • Players under the age of 18
  • Parents or guardians applying on behalf of a player
  • Clubs supporting a player who may need assistance

Applications are confidential, and seeking support will never negatively affect a player’s involvement or selection.
