Buckfastleigh and Exeter Athletic complete Devon Junior Cup semi-final line-up

THE semi-finals of the Devon Junior Cup have now been confirmed after Buckfastleigh and Exeter Athletic won the final two quarter-finals on Saturday.

Buckfastleigh overcame Dartmouth 25-0 at home thanks to 15 points from Harry Laity from a try, two conversions and two penalties, and a try apiece from Scott Mason and Sam Green.

Buckfastleigh will now travel to Exeter Athletic in the semi-finals.

Exeter Athletic needed an extra-time penalty from Jake Roberts to beat OPM 13-10 at a dark and wet King George V Playing Fields.

The match between the two Devon One sides was level at 10-10 at the end of 80 minutes, with Reid Mawdsley and Sam Phillips scoring tries for Exeter and OPM’s points coming from a fine try by Jake Neville and a conversion and penalty from Sam Matts.

The other semi-final was already confirmed and will see Torrington host North Tawton. The semi-finals are due to be played on March 16, with the final on April 16.
