As we head into the semi-finals of most Devon Cup competitions this weekend, we’re pleased to share an update from the Devon Meeting held on the 12th November, in Teignmouth. In front of all attendees, Devon RFU President Mr. John Drew conducted the official draws for the final venues. The dates for the finals are now published; however, they will be confirmed with the finalists once they are determined. All final dates and details will be fully confirmed before Christmas. We would like to remind all clubs of the rules set out at the start of the season regarding the venue and hosting conditions for Devon Finals. Final venues are determined by a draw conducted by the President of Devon RFU and the Competitions Committee. To host a Devon Final, a club must meet the following requirements:

• Be able and willing to implement a gate entry charge, with a minimum admission fee of £5. All attendees must pay – this is an all-pay fixture.
• Provide pre-match and post-match hospitality for both competing clubs, match officials, players, and the Devon RFU representative.
• Have no outstanding debt to the Devon RFU and must have submitted its most recent annual financial report and accounts.

If a club cannot meet any of these conditions, the final will be moved to the opposing team’s ground or to an alternative venue selected by Devon RFU. Chris Forster | Director of the Male Game
