These forms are received by the age grade chair and CB Hon Sec who approve or reject. You will be notified either way. Please ensure that all forms are completed in the best interests of the player, not the needs of the team.

This form is for the reporting of safeguarding concerns only. For general safeguarding queries, please email safeguarding@rfu.com. For DBS or safer recruitment queries, please email dbseapp@rfu.com.

TOURING LINKS AND FORMS

Arranging a tour for your club or school, or, receiving a touring side from outside the County, may not be as straight forward as you think. Below are the forms which need to be completed, depending on your specific circumstances. For guidance around tour organisation and all the links to respective approval forms, please click below.

Tour regulations can be found in RFU Regulation 10.

AGE GRADE CLUSTER APPROVAL FORM

When two separate clubs combine, in the same age group, to form one side for playing games, this is called "clustering". Due to problems caused in the past, the RFU now require an approval form to be completed to ensure the necessary formalities are achieved. This is to ensure the welfare of players, coaches and both clubs involved. The approval form is evidence of a mutual agreement for the benefit of both teams.

INJURY REPORTING

In order to put the appropriate support in place, it is crucial that all reportable injury events are submitted to the RFU.

These are defined as:

  • An injury which results in the player being admitted to a hospital
  • Deaths which occur during or within six hours of a game finishing

It doesn't include those that attend an Accident or Emergency Department and who are then allowed home.

Any injury sustained during a rugby match or training session, must be recorded on an incident report form, provided by the club. This is to ensure accurate, in the the moment details are recorded, in case a personas injury worsens at a later stage. It is as much about protecting the first aider as the player themselves.
